as the weather is continuing to be unpredictable (extremes of whatever it's doing!) we've been limited in what we've been able to achieve outside over the last few days.
we have gotten further with our 'uber-greenhouse' (now weighing in at an impressive 9ft x 9ft x 35ft) but we want to wait until it's done before we post any photos otherwise it'll spoil the surprise.
mb's been out with the camera again and took some really nice shots - see below:
rain-laden sky through a seed head:

some high quality snail-love:

check out the marble-effect rear-end on this fella:

the detail of the wings of this dude are amazing:

this guy is tiny but looks tough as hell:

another nice lizard (we're not sure what type yet - any info appreciated):

all of the meadows around the place are looking great with all the wild flowers in bloom:

this is the best shot mb's got of this insect so far - it's somewhere between a moth and a dragonfly and is not too happy staying still so that we can photograph the little bugger:

other things of note:
- nikki baked some really nice granary bread (we were going to take a nice photo but we ate it instead!).
- we've got a replacement keyboard (some idiot tipped beer all over the old one!) and it's nice to be able to type again rather than using the mouse/on-screen keyboard and having to copy/paste capitals from existing documents when attempting to do anything.
- my chain snapped on a ride (for those who've seen/walked/ridden it - the big hill from the river up to ours) on my single-speed mountain bike causing me to smash my knee into the brake lever leaving a perfect indentation of the allen-bolt. i think that my experiment with single-speed mountain biking in hills of this scale/gradient may be coming to an end - it just hurts too much!
that'll do for now i think.
will post more when it happens.
look after yourself - and each other!
